I’m Alex.
And I Didn’t Plan This.

If you’d told me five years ago that I’d be a menopause coach, I’d have thought you were bonkers. I spent eight years in advertising and marketing before I followed what actually mattered to me and became a qualified personal trainer and nutrition coach in 2019.

But here’s the thing. I fell into this. If I’m honest.

About two years ago, a client said to me: “Alex, I’ve just started HRT. I’m experiencing perimenopause symptoms. Can you help with the lifestyle side? Nutrition, strength training, all of that.”

And my first reaction was panic. My knowledge at that point was pretty general. I didn’t have much nuance around any of this. But I told her honestly, it’s not something I know a lot about right now. But you’re my client and my job is to support you. So if you’re open to it, I’ll go and properly learn.

So I did.

WHAT I FOUND CHANGED EVERYTHING

And what I found when I started going down that road genuinely shocked me. The stories of women being dismissed. Gaslit. Told it’s just your age. Told they couldn’t be experiencing what they were experiencing, without any real testing, any actual inquiry. Just a flat no.

I’ve had women on calls with me after GP appointments in tears. Not because of bad news. Because of nothing. A shrug and a door closing.

I kept thinking, what a combination that is. Going through something that’s throwing your entire life into a spin, and not being listened to on top of it.

That’s what kept me here. Not a business plan. Just that frustration. And the belief that the information exists to actually help... women just need someone who’ll take the time to learn it, explain it properly, and then build something around it that works for real life.

THE PERSONAL STUFF

I’m a husband and a dad. When my son was born, it cracked me open in ways I didn’t expect.

I went through a tough period of depression, panic attacks, family fallout and I ended up in therapy. That experience changed how I see everything.

It’s why I coach the way I do. I don’t just look at your training or your food. I want to understand what’s going on underneath. Your self-talk. Your stress. Your family dynamics. The stuff that shapes how you show up for yourself. Because I know from my own experience, you can’t outrun the inner work with a workout plan.

My dad was diagnosed with cancer on the day he retired. That hit me hard. And it’s a big part of why I’m so passionate about longevity. About building a body and a life that serves you for decades, not just for a holiday.

WHY A MALE COACH?

I get asked this. And it’s a fair question.

I can’t tell you what menopause feels like. I’ll never experience it. But I can tell you that I’ve spent years studying what’s happening hormonally, nutritionally, and emotionally during this stage of life. I’ve sat with hundreds of women and listened... properly listened... to what they’re going through.

And honestly? Sometimes having someone who isn’t going through it themselves means they can hold the space differently. I’m not comparing my experience to yours. I’m just here, fully focused on you. With genuine expertise, real compassion, and a protective energy that comes from being genuinely angry about how this industry treats women in midlife.

I've got you.
